Judge Kevin Miles, Newest Clermont County Municipal Court Judge

Miles for JudgeToday, I had the pleasure of witnessing Clermont County’s newest Municipal Court Judge, Kevin Miles, take his oath to uphold the Constitution and serve the citizens of our County.

The swearing-in Ceremony was held in front of a standing-room-only Court Room.  I found it extremely touching when the ceremony started with a prayer from his Pastor, who asked for special blessings on Judge Miles, as he embarks on his new career.  The oath was given by Judge Tony Brock, a long time friend and now co-worker.  George Pattison, our third Municipal Court Judge, was also present.

Many other Honorable guests were in attendance, including Ohio Senator, Joe Uecker, Ohio Representative John Becker, and Clermont County Prosecutor Vince Faris, Clermont County Commissioners David Uible and Ed Humphrey , as well as some judges:  Jerry McBride and James Shriver, just to name a few. Tim Rudd, Chairman of the Republican Party, was also there.

Miles was honored and humbled that all would come out for his swearing-in ceremony.  As a devoted husband and father of two, Miles thanked his parents, family, and friends for their loving support.

Judge Miles was appointed to the position of Municipal Court Judge by Governor Kasich, after a spot was left vacant when Judge James Shiver was appointed to Common Pleas Court in April, 2013.

Miles won the endorsement from the Clermont County Republican Party on June 19th and will be running to keep his position in November, 2013.

On November 5th,  I will “go the distance with Miles,” and I encourage all to vote to Keep Judge Miles!

The Ohio Senate and State Central Committee Reps need to hear from YOU now!

ballot boxLast week the Ohio House passed the budget without Medicaid expansion and Common Core.  This week, the Budget goes to the Ohio Senate for a vote.  We must continue to contact our Senators and urge them to keep Medicaid expansion and Common Core OUT of the budget!

We reside in District 14.  Our Senator is Joe Uecker, (R).

Phone:  (614) 466-8082Email

Please see one of my earlier posts about Common Core or Stopping Medicaid Expansion, for more information.

Also, this week, your State Central Committee Representatives will be voting on a new Chairman for the Ohio Republican Party.  We clearly need someone with true conservative principles.   Tom Zawistowski (Tom Z), former president of the Ohio Liberty Coalition, which is comprised of the liberty groups throughout Ohio, has thrown his hat in the ring.  Please call and email your State Central Reps today, urging them to vote for someone who will represent YOU, keeping your conservative values in tact.  Tell them to vote for Tom Z.!

1st Annual Cincinnati Freedom Expo Huge Success

Freedom-Expo-2013The first annual Cincinnati Freedom Expo was held April 19th at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.  The event, sponsored by Tea Party Patriots, Independent Business Associates of Northern Kentucky and Bavarian Waste Hauling & Disposal, boasted over 20 booths, promoting liberty around the greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky area.

There were a variety of speakers, including Doc Thompson from the Blaze, and KCarl Smith of the Frederick Douglass Republicans.  The highly attended event was hosted by Brian Thomas of 55KRC.   Thank you to all who attended and those who made this event possible.  Check out photos and videos.

Thanks to YOU…Medicaid Expansion and Common Core out of Ohio Budget!

grassrootsThe grassroots effort is alive and well in Ohio!  Thanks to watchdogs and folks like you, both Medicaid Expansion, 13 billion of Federal ‘free’ money and Common Core, the national takeover of education with mandates from the government, have been taken out of the Ohio Budget.  Not familiar with these two issues, here are a few websites to get you caught up:
